You’ve Got a Friend in Me

“A friend is someone who knows all about you and still loves you.” – Elbert Hubbard

Friends are some of the most important people we have in our lives. We know we’ve found our true friends when they’ve seen us at our best and our worst. Our friends are special people who are always willing to lend their ear, share their advice, or cheer us up whenever we need them most. Let’s think about it for a second. Who are our best friends?

I know I only have a couple close friends I can count on, and I couldn’t be more glad they are in my life. Some friends don’t always stick around for long and only stay in our lives for a season. The true test of friendship is the obstacles we face. The friends that stick by our sides through all our hard times are the ones we should be most proud of calling our best friends.

They don’t judge. They don’t cause us pain. They don’t want to see us in pain. They want the best for us always. They want to see us smile. They don’t let distance matter. They make sure nothing changes even if time does.

We all need these people in our lives because we need to someone to vent to about our bad days, celebrate our best, and create memories. Friendship is one of the most valued things in our lives that sometimes we tend to take for granted.

Let’s remember who our true friends are, and remember to show them our appreciation. They deserve it.
