Self-Care

Sometimes we have to be selfish. We have to do things for ourselves in order to take the best care of ourselves. We don’t have to keep all the different types of negative and hateful people in our lives who are there. We have to be selfish and let them go if they are obstructing our goals and happiness.

Negativity and hatred are not beautiful things. To live a positive, beautiful life we need to be selfish and think about ourselves. We need to remove the things in our lives we don’t like and that we know are not affecting us in a positive way.

We can’t be happy or achieve our goals when negative people are dragging us down. The act of being selfish in these types of situations is an act of self-preservation. We should want to take care of ourselves. We should want to add nourishment to our lives. Who does anyone else think they are to take that away from us?

We need to care about ourselves instead of worrying about hurting feelings of people who are causing us pain. It is not our job to teach them a lesson and how to be a better person, but it is our job to let them go from our lives if they are a toxic, negative, and/or hateful person.

We deserve to take care of ourselves and we deserve to be happy. We can’t be happy and take care of ourselves when other people are trying to prevent that. Let’s see the beauty in our lives and let the negativity go.
