The Worst Advice We’ve Ever Gotten

“Work for a cause, not for applause. Live life to express, not to impress. Don’t strive to make your presence noticed, just your absence felt.” – Unknown

We live in a world full of misconceptions. Sometimes we get the wrong impressions and do things for the wrong reasons. Some of us are raised to believe that we have to do things to impress other people, but that’s not how it should be. These are the worst pieces of advice we’ve ever gotten and shouldn’t follow:

  1. Always say yes even when you want to say no.
  2. Apologize…a lot.
  3. Don’t ask questions. Figure it out as you go.
  4. Keep your opinions to yourself.
  5. Hide your feelings to spare someone else’s.

We should do what feels right and what is best for us, but we should also remain respectful. We should take the advice that we believe will give us a more beautiful life.
