“Focus on the journey, not the destination. Joy is found not in finishing an activity but in doing it.” – Greg Anderson
Sometimes we hit a rough patch and we can’t possibly believe we’ll ever move away from it. Little do we know, it can be our choice to pull ourselves away from it if we focus on the right things.
We have to choose to focus on the things we love doing. If we’re focused solely on the things that are causing us distress or pain then we will continue to be stuck in the rough patch. We’re not going to feel great for a long period of time, and that’s no way to live our lives. If we focus on misery, we will drown in it. If we think about good things and put our focus into doing good those good things…the answer is simple, right? We’ll feel better.
Time heals all wounds, but we shouldn’t sit around feeling wounded. We should distract ourselves with positive things and the things we love. Even if we’re still hurt, stressed, or in pain, we will shift our focus and start moving on to better things for ourselves.
