“There are no secrets better kept than the secrets everybody guesses.” – George Bernard Shaw
Are secrets as safe as we think they are, or do we all eventually crack? Sometimes our secrets travel much further than we’d like them to, but how do we know who to trust?
Sometimes we’re told by other people that we can trust them no matter and that our secrets will always be safe with them. I’ve noticed that secrets usually stay safe with these people only to be kept safe with the other people they are sharing them with.
We can’t really trust anyone. Secrets always come out whether we want them to or not. It doesn’t matter how important the secret is or who reveals it. People will always cross the threshold at some point, whether it is the secret-keeper or the secret-teller. Our best-kept secrets are the ones we never tell.
