Well Hello There, September :)

“By all these lovely tokens September days are here, With summer’s best of weather and autumn’s best of cheer.” – Helen Hunt Jackson

Time can be a scary thing. How am I already writing 9/9 on my papers? Usually I have a bone to pick with time, but it’s not so bad. I get upset because I always feel like I could have done more in the previous month the days before the next month is ready to make its appearance, but it was coming whether I wanted it to or not.

September is one of my favorite months because we’re approaching the end of the year and things are going to start changing outside. The weather is going to start cooling down *hopefully* soon and autumn is such a beautiful time of year. The color palette for September, October, and November is so comforting and autumn is the time to fall (pun intended 😉 ). It’s the time for us to make mistakes and pick ourselves back up. It’s the time to test ourselves and shed old habits; it’s time to let all of our bad leaves go so we can grow new ones.

The first weeks of the month serve as a motivator to get us moving and start accomplishing what we want to. I’ve found it’s easier to set goals short-term goals for each season rather than long-term goals. I already know what my long-term life goals are and those change all the time. There are so many things I want to accomplish before the year is over.

I’m going to take my Summer Bucket List to the next level. It’s been a tradition for the last couple of years, but I’m going to create them for each season now. I’m also going to do away with the term “bucket list.” It’s over-used and a cliché that I think is starting to lose its meaning.

The Autumn Agenda will be coming soon! Stay posted for my list and posts about my accomplishments. Happy Fall, everyone! 🍃 🍂
