Same Keyboard, Different Strokes

“Writing is the painting of the voice.” – Voltaire

This keyboard of mine has been through a lot. I can’t even begin to think about how many words I’ve typed on it – somewhere in the hundreds of thousands is my guess. I’ve only had it for about three years and it’s gotten me through school and my writing.

For the next couple months, this keyboard will hold the intelligence of my English major brain. It’s going to be more about research, scholarly writing, and deeper meanings. Blogging is going to be my saving grace in between each carefully crafted response for class.

My keyboard houses all the words I’ve typed over the last 3 years, and it’s hungry for more. It’s eagerly waiting my return after I close my laptop each night. I’m just as famished waiting to create more to satisfy the hunger and desire.

I’ve never put much thought into the keyboard as I have about what I’m writing. It’s quite a perspective shift and only makes me want to blog more. I do wish my keyboard had magical properties to extract the words from my head so I could get my novel written quicker. Still waiting to hear back from Apple on that one though. 😉 💻
