My Vintage Script Typewriter
My Vintage Script

Hey there! Remember me? You’ve been to this site before but something looks different…what is it? The colors? The content? The creativity? It’s the name! Formerly “This Beautiful Life,” my blog has made a transition into “My Vintage Script” and I’m so excited to share the news with you!

You’re probably wondering why I changed the name and what prompted the shift. The truth is I’ve been grappling with the idea for a while and just couldn’t bring myself to make the switch. It’s a big deal to rename your blog, as I’m sure any blogger could attest to. But something inside of me knew it was time to make the switch, so I did. Though I am sad to have closed the “This Beautiful Life” chapter, I am happy to see what the “My Vintage Script” chapter has to offer.

To read more about my journey as a blogger, swing by my Welcome page. I explain a couple of reasons why I’m attached to the words “My Vintage Script.” I love things that most people consider vintage. Typewriters—hence my logo—and I’ve always wanted a pink one. Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, and really any jazz or swing music you’d hear in a Ruby’s diner. Polaroid cameras which have actually come back in style. White wall tires that I’ll forever adore but probably never put on my car. The original Mary Poppins movie because who doesn’t love Julie Andrews? These are just a few of my favorite *vintage* things.

I didn’t just want it to be labeled vintage because of the these things though. As I share my stories, I’m building the chapters of my life through this blog. It becomes my “script” really. But as I write, everything suddenly becomes the past. It becomes vintage.

This blog is still going to serve as a positive space where I focus on all the beautiful things life has to offer. The different name is what helped me take the next big step for this blog, which was to create an Instagram account for it. There’s not much there now since it’s just starting out, but follow the page to stay tuned on my blog adventures. ☺️

I want to thank everyone who reads my blog and who has been incredibly supportive and encouraging throughout my journey. I’m so excited to see how my writing develops and how this next chapter pans out.
