Anyone who knows me knows that I’m passionate about helping people and making a difference. They also know that I love the beach. Put these two things together and you get one of my favorite companies, Pura Vida Bracelets. They were recently accepting applications for their rep program, and since I’ve never done anything like this before, I thought it would be something fun yet impactful. Soooo, *drum roll* yours truly is now officially a Pura Vida rep!

I had seen other people posting about Pura Vida for the longest time on social media. I noticed that the company had the cutest jewelry, but it also came with a cause. I never got around to applying for the program until I became more active on my blog’s Instagram account. Their story inspires me and reminds me that anyone is capable of making a difference in the world.

Pura Vida was started by two guys from SoCal—Griffin and Paul—who visited Costa Rica on their college graduation trip. During their trip, they met Jorge and Joaquin, who were making beautiful, colorful bracelets. As artisans, they were struggling to provide for their families and were living in harsh conditions. Griffin and Paul requested hundreds of bracelets from them, took the colorful creations home to San Diego, and started selling them. You can read more details about their beginnings and where they are now hereSide note: I thought it was only fitting that I use a photo from my recent San Diego trip since the founders of Pura Vida are from there.

The company gets its name from the movement that cherishes the simple things in life also known as “Pura Vida” to Costa Ricans. It translates to “pure life” in Spanish and is more than a simple phrase to live by. Pura Vida Bracelets calls it “a lifestyle of sorts.” I’m so humbled to be a part of something that celebrates the little things in life and making the most of every moment, especially since my blog’s main focus are exactly those things.

It’s such a beautiful premise that gives other people a greater chance to be successful and happy in doing what they love. The best part of the program? 20% OFF for friends and family with my discount code! Take a look at their site and shop around to help people like Jorge, Joaquin, and over 600 other artisans around the world. To activate your 20% off, use my special code CHRISTINASVOLOS20Disclaimer: This is not an advertising partnership. I’m not employed by Pura Vida Bracelets and am solely doing this to get involved in something to benefit a community. And help promote a brand that I believe in!

Pura Vida is more than a company trying to sell jewelry. In fact, it’s not about making money; it’s about making an impact. It’s about creating opportunities for others who don’t have the same chances or resources that we have access to. Plus, the products are cute and celebrate a craftsmanship from another country. I hope you find something you like from them! Happy shopping. 🛍
